For my second appearance on Smart Life with Dr. Gina, I got to talk about fitness (my favorite subject). The topic originated from my blog post “5 Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Exercising“. I really enjoyed writing this article and I enjoyed talking a bit about it on the show. The most fun part for me is seeing my articles come to life in these 10 minute segments I do on the show. It’s interesting to see how it’s interpreted by the shows host, Dr. Gina… and I enjoy being able to add some additional perspective on what I wrote. Sometimes I don’t even know what I was thinking when I put the words down on paper (or wordpress actually, haha)… but being able to talk about it again brings me back to that original thought… and that’s why I write in the first place. I like ideas. And I like to create.
And it’s any writers hope that what they write is interesting and sparks people to think and discuss. I think this topic really does that well. The bottom line of my article, and my health and fitness philosophy is this:
There is no quick fix – it’s a lifelong journey – it’ for you and nobody else – you have to plan for success – and you have to make it fun. That’s it. Do those things and the rest will take care of itself.
